HazSim Pro 3 Pricing
Realistic Instruments. Real Training. Zero Danger.
HazSim Pro 3 simulates the instruments your crews already carry — gas detection, CBRN, radiation — realistically enough that training feels like the call. Without the sensor burn, the calibration gas, or the liability of putting real meters into drills.

Plus: Los Angeles Fire Department • Boulder County Hazmat • Royal Canadian Mint • Aims Community College Fire Academy • PA State Fire Academy • Cumberland County Hazmat • Great Oaks Career Campuses
Using a turned-off detector or a block of wood with ‘gas detector’ written on it isn’t realistic. Being able to adjust what the meter is reading gives it a real effect that helps first responders adjust response and tactics in real time.
Realism creates safer responders.
The gap between classroom training and the real call is where people get hurt. HazSim closes that gap by putting realistic instrument behavior into every drill — so your crews build the muscle memory and decision-making that matters when it counts.
Real Instrument Behavior
Trainees interact with meters that respond like the ones on their belt — not a turned-off detector or a block of wood.
Scenario-Driven Muscle Memory
Repeat realistic conditions — IDLH alarms, sensor failures, H2S spikes — until the right response is automatic.
Consequence Without Danger
Crews experience escalating conditions in training so they’ve already made the critical decisions before the real call.
Instructor-Controlled Conditions
Change readings mid-scenario. Force the crew to react to what you want them to see, when you want them to see it.
Confidence Under Pressure
When your crew has seen the alarm 50 times in training, they don’t freeze on the 51st — the real one.
Gas Detection Training Is Now a National Standard
In late 2025, the IAFC issued a formal advisory supporting NFPA 1010 — establishing gas detection competency as a baseline training requirement for fire departments nationwide. This isn’t a recommendation buried in a committee report. It is the clearest signal the fire service has sent: every department needs documented, hands-on gas detection training.
For training officers, the question is no longer whether to train on gas detection. It’s how to deliver realistic, documented, defensible training at scale — without burning through sensors, calibration gas, and real instruments in every drill.
HazSim Pro 3 was built for exactly this moment. Realistic instrument behavior. Documented training hours and pass/fail results. Repeatable scenarios that meet the standard’s intent. All without live gas, without exposure risk, and without pulling field meters out of service.
Three Questions Every Training Officer Needs to Answer
1. Can you document gas detection competency?
NFPA 1010 requires demonstrated skill, not just classroom hours. HazSim logs every scenario, every reading, every pass/fail result in a cloud-connected record your department can produce on demand.
2. Are you training on realistic conditions?
A written quiz doesn’t prepare your crew for an IDLH alarm at 3 AM. HazSim puts them in the conditions — instrument in hand, readings climbing, decisions to make — until the response is automatic.
3. Can you scale it across your department?
One training center can’t reach every shift, every station, every mutual aid partner. HazSim is portable, cloud-connected, and designed to deploy anywhere your crews train.
What HazSim customers say.
From volunteer teams to the nation’s largest departments — the feedback is the same.
HazSim has provided a meaningful technology to our training program and it will be a part of each of our training evolutions. The simplicity, the ability to train a skill, to be able to feel and see the device that you use every time you respond is invaluable.
Since we added our HazSim device, we feel much more confident in air monitoring — not just in our hazmat deliveries, but it has crossed over into confined space and the firefighter courses.
The HazSim device is our most used training tool because it allows us to plug in different meter readings and build realistic scenarios. Instead of handing students a piece of paper with data, they get to see and interact with the actual meters.
A key part of this training is the use of the HazSim device, which helps responders accurately assess and interpret the situation, ensuring they’re well-prepared for real-world challenges.
I like HazSim because I won’t burn out my meters. HazSim lets my team build confidence and skill without risking the department’s meters.

Onboarding & Instructor Training
We train your trainers so you’re running real drills in week one.
Most systems ship the same week your PO is received.
What every drill with a real meter actually costs you.
Beyond safety, there’s a hard-dollar case. Every training exercise with a live 4-gas, PID, or rad meter costs you sensor life, calibration gas, and the readings you actually want students to see. Real meters can’t be forced into an IDLH reading on command. And every drill takes them out of service for the real call.
Sensor Life
Every exposure burns calibrated sensor hours you paid for.
Calibration Gas
Bottle costs add up fast when you’re training weekly.
Staged Readings
You can’t force an IDLH or sensor failure on command.
Out-of-Service Time
Meters in drills aren’t available for the real call.
Liability
Real instruments in training = real exposure risk for your people.
Realistic training — without real hazards, real liability, or real risk.
For a department of 50 responders on the Dual System. For 100-person departments, it drops under $100 per responder per year.
= under $150 per responder per year
Annual training platform subscription.
Year 1 is included with every system. Year 2 onward keeps your cloud, updates, scenarios, and support active — and your hardware is always yours, renewal or not.
Year 2+ Subscription
Multi-year commitment pricing available — save 10% (3‑yr) or 17% (5‑yr).
LTE connectivity requires active annual software agreement. Local WiFi operation is always available on your hardware.
Your hardware is yours.
Without an active agreement you won’t receive LTE cloud connectivity, software updates, new scenarios, or technical support — but your HazSim system continues to run over local WiFi. You are never locked out of hardware you paid for.
This isn’t a subscription trap. It’s a support agreement — the same way every other serious training platform works. Renew because you want the updates, not because we took your hardware hostage.
Financing, leasing & trade-in.
Not every department can clear the full system cost from one year’s budget. Here are the ways we help you get training started now.
